He has been charged with felony lewd acts in connection with an alleged incident involving two young girls, although police have only charged him with crimes against one of the victims. The incident was brought to the attention of authorities when the parents of one girl allegedly found information that the man had contacted their daughter via Facebook. Man arrested in Orange County, California, car burglaries

Breaking and entering into cars is a relatively common crime that rarely nets a suspect, and most people who have items stolen from their cars do not see their property again. However, police in Garden Grove believe they may have good news for hundreds of victims of car theft in Los Alamitos and neighboring burgs over the last few years after they discovered a "wall-to-wall" treasure trove of stolen goods found in a suspect's home. The police noticed a common pattern in auto burglary cases beginning two years ago, when a white Range Rover was reported in the area around the time of each theft. Finally, a witness was able to note the license number of the vehicle, and a visit to the home of the car's owner revealed hundreds of stolen items, including laptops, cell phones, a handgun, more than 100 California licenses and almost $10,000 in cash along with other items.

Former customs officer convicted of rape

A former customs officer received six years in prison after his conviction for raping two women in Orange County. The 33-year-old defendant plead guilty to two felony charges of rape and faces lifetime sex offender registration as well as prison time for the crimes. These charges involved crimes that were allegedly committed when he was working for U.S. Customs. The defendant was charged with the first rape in connection with an incident that occurred in September of 2009. A young woman was drinking at a bar in Long Beach and claims the defendant raped her after she lost consciousness and then left her lying alone in the bushes. The second rape charge came out of an incident in November of 2010 in which the suspect allegedly hired a prostitute and then raped her in Garden Grove after she attempted to leave.
