Rapper arrested for drug possession at California airport

Rapper 2 Chainz was taken into custody at LAX after a search of his checked baggage allegedly revealed marijuana and promethazine. Promethazine is used as the main ingredient in a dangerous drug cocktail called sizzurp that is well known among rappers. Although promethazine is legal when properly dispensed by an authorized medical professional, authorities have not confirmed as to whether 2 Chainz had been prescribed the drug by a doctor.

In other to take him custody, authorities had to pull him from an outbound flight as it was sitting on the tarmac. This was not his first drug arrest this year, as he had been arrested a few months ago for possession of marijuana on his tour bus; however, he was later found not guilty.

There are no reports so far as to whether or not 2 Chainz will be charged for drug possession; however, if he is, he may face a fine or possible jail time. If he is arraigned on drug charges, he will most likely need to find an attorney who is experienced in drug possession cases in the state of California.

Many people who are facing possible drug charges or who have already been charged with narcotics possession, drug manufacturing, possession of drug paraphernalia, or other offenses may be afraid of what lies ahead. They may be too embarrassed to talk to their family or friends regarding their situations and may wonder where they can find help. In such cases, it could benefit such people to consult with an attorney who is knowledgeable with drug cases and who can give them sound advice. It may be possible that, through effective legal representation, charges could be lessened or even dropped.
